Panasonic Lumix FZ150 Handheld, Low-Light Test (Vs Nokia N8, Canon S2IS)
I’m also interested in telephoto shots at on-stage press events and various types of video but for my first Panasonic Lumix Z150 test I wanted to see how much better it was than my old (5 year old) Canon S2IS 5MP bridge camera. The other two devices used were the Canon S2IS and my Nokia N8 which has a larger sensor than both of the bridge cameras. To help make the images easy to compare I set the ISO at 400 and took the images at about 15 cm, the distance at which the multimeter was full-frame in the non-zoom Nokia N8. In this test I took a large number of shots of a multimeter (showing a LUX reading of around 95 from a big 30W daylight-temperature CFL energy-saving bulb 2M away) and chose the best pictures to analyse. Panasonic Updates Firmware For G Lenses, Now Labels Them HD

I'm guessing it's either that there's a hiccup in labeling which ones have been updated, or that the software has only properly rolled out for those four, with more in the works. However, if you actually look at the update website , only four of those lenses are marked as being updated: the H-F008, H-FS014042, H-FS100300 and H-H014. (1) LUMIX G 14mm / F2. 5 ASPH. (H-H014) (7) LUMIX G VARIO 45-200mm / F4. 0-5. With this update, Panasonic is promising improved optical image stabilization and reduced auto-focus volume while recording video — a change which is apparently enough to garner them Panasonic's HD tag for the lenses. Some of the ones listed above still show the same firmware from 2009. The HD label are for those lenses that Panasonic thinks especially suited to recording video with. One thing we're left slightly scratching our heads on is which lenses this update works for.
