♦ 5) Precision Design Deluxe 6-Piece Lens & Digital SLR Camera Cleaning Kit
Canon’s EF 85mm f/1.8 USM lens is a highly practical medium telephoto lens with superb delineation and portability. Images are sharp and clear at all apertures. Through computer simulations, the lens has been designed to give beautiful background blur. Since the front lens group does not rotate during focusing, special filter effects are not affected.

Syncing DSLR and Canon XF305 - b-roll.net FORUM
I will be shooting a documentary, rolling two cameras at the same time, a Canon 5D and a Canon XF305. Any tips for synching these two cameras using Final Cut Pro's "Multicam" feature? I have a timecode slate on my iPhone. Apparently, it generates it's own timecode. I also bought the plugin for accepting an external timecode signal via the headphones jack, but I do not have the proper cable. So, I was thinking of slating the beginning of each take using the slate app's own timecode and sync...
What’s even more interesting, is that if used with a DSLR with a crop factor (i.e. Canon 50D), the lens is effectively a 8320mm lens. Wowzers.
Obviously, this lens isn’t very practical for things aside from spying on someone across a city, or staring at some portion of the moon. It seems like the lens would primarily be used for astrophotography. Can you think of any other examples of where this focal length could be useful?
(via PDNPulse )
“Can you think of any other examples of where this focal length could be useful?” Why would I even consider bothering my brain to think of another reason when you gave us the best reason to get it: “spying on someone across a city” IMAGINE THE ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES, especially that I have a Canon APS-C sensor camera!!!

eyesimages: Back in time...
There are places where time seems to stand still, where you can find only peace and tranquility, without any noise of cars and the rhythm of the day is marked only by the movement of the birds, sunrises and sunsets. I found one of these places last weekend in Umbria, near Spoleto, with my love. A weekend of relax and a full immersion in nature, in order to regenerate the body and mind after long winter months. I really needed it!

Canon MF8350 printer sporadically errors with ... - Super User
Googling shows others with a similar issue, but the difference is... they get this error right away, when starting a print job. For me, it happens in the middle of a normal successful print job. In other words, I can print 20 copies of the same doc, the first 11 print fine, and the 12th gives this error.
Popping the paper tray will make it keep printing, but I hate to babysit it.
Any guesses what it might be? Paper is set up correctly both in PC document and in printer - standard 8.5 x 11 letter. Seems to happen more often with double sided printing. Seems to happen less if I keep the paper tray brimming full. Some guide or sensor getting gradually borked? Overheating? Happens with multiple documents from different PCs. Happens with both simple 1-page text-only documents and complex PDFs with graphics. Might go all day without the error, or 5 times in 5 minutes.
